Eroski

EROSKI is a cooperative retail supermarket chain which has worked in the food market since 1969 and has been present in Navarre since 1971. It has almost 10,000 worker partners and more than 1,000,000 consumer partners. It operates under this name in the Basque Country, Navarre, La Rioja and Cantabria, where it is the leader in terms of market share. It is also the parent company of other companies which operate  under the same brand in other communities, such as Aragon, Galicia, the Balearic Islands and Catalonia (Caprabo).  According to Nielsen, EROSKI has a market share of over 18% in the communities in northern Spain from Galicia to the Balearic Islands, taken as a whole.

Its Governing Board consists of an equal number of worker partners and consumer partners: the Chair is a consumer partner. None of the members of the Governing Board receives any kind of remuneration for working on it.
